Description
Richard Bingham was born in Essex, England on May 19, 1890 and moved to the United States at age 10. In this recording, Mr. Bingham discusses his education in England, and his family's English history. He reports that he went to Canada at age 15 and worked various odd jobs in a grocery store, a bank, in farming, and engineering. Mr. Bingham came to California in 1920 and did carpentry work in the Los Angeles area. After moving to the Ontario area, he worked for Central School system until he retired. Mrs. Bingham helps Mr. Bingham through the interview. Tape two is not transcribed. California Preservation Service
