Photograph caption dated January 29, 1954 reads, "This is John Klein, 16, of 4567 Varna Ave., Sherman Oaks, winner of the sixth annual Hi-Y Boy of the Year award over all Los Angeles entries. John, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack J. Klein, is member of West Valley YMCA branch, High Steppers Hi-Y Club and attends Van Nuys High School where he was Senior B class president. He will receive $750 James G. Warren memorial scholarship and trip to San Francisco. He intends to study law at Stanford."
