Correspondence between Dillon S. Myer, Director of War Relocation Authority, and Long Beach resident J. Flores. In the letter, War Relocation Authority is requesting character verification for Shigetoshi Sugiyama, a Japanese American who listed Flores as a reference when applying to leave the incarceration camp. WRA-140. The Long Beach and Pearl Harbor collection consists of materials collected and/or created during the Historical Society of Long Beach exhibition, "Long Beach Remembers Pearl Harbor." Materials include documents, correspondence, photographs, and video recordings.
