Description
In attendance at the laying of the cornerstone for the John and Alice Tyler Campus Center on October 14, 1971 were (L to R): John C. Tyler, President William S. Banowsky, Blanche Seaver, Chancellor M. Norvel Young, two unidentified guests, George Elkins, architect William Pereira, Michael DeBakey, and Alice Tyler. Dr. DeBakey, a famous cardiovascular surgeon, was a featured speaker.
