Description
This circa 1909 postcard shows a flurry of early urban activity on J Street, between Front and Second streets. Notable are, to the right, the Ennis Brown Company and, to the left, Wood, Curtis and Company. By 1927, both produce companies will have moved from their J Street locations. The tall, red brick Tremont Hotel sits just beyond Ennis Brown.
