Photograph caption dated January 17, 1963 reads "Prospective parents prepare for their new offspring in twice-weekly classes at the Valley Red Cross Center of Service, Van Nuys. Valley Times TODAY photographer Alan Hyde sat in on a class session to see what Mrs. Charles Hodgson, R.N., Pacoima, teaches parents-to-be. Fathers take the course with their wives. At right, Mrs. Hodgson explains to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lane, Sherman Oaks, how important proper feeding positions are.
