The Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival is held annually at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds, 2551 West Avenue H, in Lancaster, California. Photograph caption dated August 9, 1958 reads "Judges will select one of above contestants tonight to reign as queen of Antelope Valley fair Sept. 4-7. Girls, and communities they represent, from left, top row, are: Nila Droste, Acton; Sherril Young, Littlerock; Barbara Williams, Rosamond; Judy Jones, Eastside; Sandra Mingus, Pearlblossom, and Mary Ann Snyder, Edwards.
