Photographic portrait of Dr. Robert Gordon Sproul, president of the University of California at Los Angeles, November, 1937. Sproul is standing behind a desk at center, looking to the right. His hands rest at his sides near the surface of the destk. He is wearing a dark, double-breasted coat and a light shirt with a spotted tie. Two framed pictures of university buildings can be seen in the background at left. Several papers can be seen on the large desk in the foreground. A large chair is visible behind Sproul at right. A note on the negative sleeve contains accession numbers CHS-49203 and CHS-49984.
