Shows China (or Sutter) Slough and Sutter Lake in foreground. Sacramento shops of the Southern Pacific Railroad (earlier the Central Pacific Railroad) and Depot in background. Building on right includes open-sided shed holding various wagons.
China Slough was filled in by Southern Pacific.
