Title supplied by cataloger.; Photograph included in the Exhibit: From Pop to the Pit, The LAPL Photo Collection Celebrates the L.A. Music Scene, 1978-1989. This spectacle made the papers, but unfortunately it was not enough for the label to take action this time around and the band broke up soon afterwards, and guitarist Randy Rhoads left to make history with Ozzy Osbourne. However, CBS did sign the band in 1982, and a year later their album "Mental Health" reached the top of the Billboard chart. Photograph caption dated July 1, 1979 reads, "Quiet Riot and fans bring their demonstration to CBS Records. Publicity, yes, contract, no." Devoted fans congregate in front of the CBS Records Los Angeles headquarters, 1801 Century Park W. in Century City, demanding a record contract for Quiet Riot.
