Description
Black and white photograph featuring a queue of Nigerian children bringing fruit and vegetables to the Ama Achara hospital, a general hospital run by the Methodist Missionary Society in southeast Nigeria. The head of Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara hospital, can be seen in the background wearing a large-rimmed hat. Another European female missionary stands at the centre of the photograph wearing a pith helmet. the caption to this image reads: "S[enior] school children bringing fruit etc. to Hospital after Harvest Festival service. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital.
