Photograph dated July 11, 1956 used for caption dated February 6, 1958 article partially reads, "Lockheed's chief production fighter pilot was killed today in an ejection attempt from his crippled F-104A lightning-fast Starfighter which broke in half shortly after take-off from the Palmdale Airport and plunged to earth 75 yards from a Quartz Hill home. Henry C. Bosserman...managed to clear his ultra-sonic fighter before the plane crashed near the intersection of Avenue M-8 and 27th street West, four miles from the take-off point."
