Description
The 100-inch telescope inside its dome, Mount Wilson Observatory. Seen from the southwest, the tube is nearly upright, the shutter is open to the west. A curved ladder is seen at the far left. The interior balcony surrounds the telescope and its pedestal. The open shutter is seen at the top; the interior walls of the dome are seen in the background.
