Photograph caption dated June 15, 1964 reads, "Bird's-eye view - Flagpole sitter Robert LeMaire found out what a bird's-eye view was like yesterday when he ascended to his new home 50 feet above the ground in Panorama City. The bearded adventurer said he had no idea of how long he'll last."
