Description
Three-quarters length portrait.
1990-1708.
Born in New Durham, New Hampshire in 1829. Arrived in California as part of company on ship, Edward Everett. Spent time in gold mines. Worked a variety of occupations: lumber business, part owner of steamship Humboldt, farming and stock raising in Calaveras County, wholesale liquor business in Sacramento where part of firm Wilcox, Powers & Co., Powers Vineyard & Orchard in Fresno. Served as Deputy Assessor, San Francisco County. Died in 1907.
