Description
Photograph of Old Horno or oven on Old Buri Buri Rancho six miles south of San Francisco, ca.1900. A cracked, clay dome stands at center with wood planks to the left of it and tall grass to the right. A wire fence stands in the foreground on the left while another stands behind the structure on the right. A tall, spiny bush stands behind the structure while an empty field lies across the background. A town of small houses extends across the hills in the distance. The Buri Buri was the first rancho on the peninsula, south of San Francisco.
