Description
Image of two tigers being forced over the edge of a jungle cliff by two hunters in an advertisement for Dr. D. Jayne's Alterative remedy; one man holds the trunk of a palm to avoid falling while the other swings the barrel of his rifle at the tiger who has not yet fallen completely over the edge.
"Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1845, by David Jayne in the Clerk's office of the District court of the Eastern District of Pennsyla."--text, bottom center of image. "This valuable preparation combines all the medicinal virtues of those articles, which long experience has proved to possess the most safe and efficient alterative and Deobstruent properties, for the cure of Scrofula, King's Evil, White Swellings, Ulcers, Scrofulous, Cancerous and Indolent..."--text, bottom center of image.
