Description
Photo identification provided by Chris T. Higgins, California Division of Mines and Geology. Photograph shows bank of condensers in the furnace-condenser complex at the Wide Awake Mine, Sulphur Creek Mining District, Colusa County. The downward slant of the bank is key to the identification of the bank's location in the building with the slanted set of entryways shown in photograph sc21055. The remnant of at least one of the condensers is still visible on the grounds today at the mine site
