Description
Photograph of a young boy leaning against the fountain at Olvera Street with the Los Angeles City Hall in the background, ca.1930. A boy with a striped hat on his head leans over the right side of a fountain, which is situated at the left side of the image beneath a palm tree. Across him, a paved walkway can be seen, and a line of houses cast their shadow over the thoroughfare. Behind the fountain, a man in a suit can be seen with his hands on his hips, looking left, while trees and Los Angeles City Hall are visible in the background. Originally, the photograph was captioned as "Child leaning against a fountain on an unknown walkway, [s.d.]".
