Rumsey talks about his career in dance administration. He was the company manager, as well as the touring and booking manager of the San Francisco Ballet. He also worked as general manager of the Kansas City ballet and executive director of the Milwaukee Ballet. He was appointed assistant director of the San Francisco Arts Commission in 1987. He also taught arts administration. Erik Bruhn, Moira Shearer, Tomm Ruud, Helgi Tomasson, Richard LeBlond, Michael Smuin, Lew Christensen, Michael Bennet, and Margot Fonteyn are some of the people Rumsey talks about in the interview.
