As per student tradition, the large boulder known as Pepperdine Rock in Adamson Plaza appears decorated and painted as a memorial to the late Helen Pepperdine in October 1990. The message reads "In Memory of Helen Pepperdine" and bouquets of flowers cover the ground before the Rock. On the wall next to the Rock reads a passage from Psalms 112:6: "A good person will never fail. She will always be remembered."
