Photograph of a procession of women next to the reservoir at the Fiesta de San Esteban (Saint Stephen), Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico, 1896. The procession of dozens of women, many carrying open parasols, reflect in the water of the small reservoir in the foreground as they walk along the rocky mesa top. The women are walking towards the left. Another mesa is visible in the distant background beyond a flat expanse of land dotted with bushes.
