Image of a broadside advertising the new meeting house dedication and sale of pews for the First Precint of Middleborough, Massachusetts; text outlining dedication details and pew auction information with diagram of numbered pews and pulpit with the new pew owners' names handwritten in ink below; decorative border.
Date supplied by cataloger based on church history; the meeting house in Middleborough, MA, was built in 1828 and the vestry completed the following year. "The new meeting house will be dedicated by religious services, on Tuesday, 6th January, 10 o'clock, A.M. Rev. Dr. Beecher, of Boston, will preach the Sermon... Persons of advanced age and who do not hear well will take the deaf seats. Dec. 29. W. Bourne, Treasurer."
