Photograph caption dated February 1, 1950 reads "Ann Blyth, honorary mayor of Toluca Lake, has been named a colonel in Loyola University's R.O.T.C. The pretty Universal-International actress will reign as queen of the R.O.T.C. dinner dance at the Beverly Hills Hotel tomorrow night. Bestowing her commission are Capt. William O'Brien and Cadet Maj. Morris Bedard."
