Description
Photograph of Sunset Club member J. M. Elliot reading in front of his tent, ca.1900. Elliot is at left and is seated in a wooden chair with his legs crossed. He is facing to the left and is looking down at a book in his lap. His large canvas tent is behind him, and there is a big tree in the center foreground. The tree is decorated with small pieces of paper and photographs. An illegible sign on the tent identifies its maker. There are more wooden chairs scattered around the tent.
