Description
Four-year-old Anthony Gwaltney, thrown from the back of a pickup truck, receives medical care from a firefighter and paramedics. Gwaltney, Aaron Mendoza, 5 and four other people were injured in the collision that took place Sun Valley. Anthony's mother, Catherine, was heading westbound on Sheldon Street in the truck when she ran a red light. Her truck collided with a car, driven by Melanie Kusch, 32, or Burbank, as it was traveling southbound on Arleta Avenue. Photograph dated April 10, 1985.
