Description
A 1955 urging to soil conservation district directors from W.E. Silverwood, the President of Redlands-Highland Soil Conservation District, to study and support the State Water Plan, read the attached address by Assemblyman Francis Lindsay and resist the “160 Acre Limitation.” The aforementioned address by Lindsay was given at the League of California Cities Convention in 1955 and it discusses the relationship between industry, agriculture and California’s water, and the importance of constructing basins.
