Description
Photograph of the Colorado River from the Hance Trail (or Hanse Trail?), Grand Canyon, looking east, 1900-1930. Water flows rapidly in and around the rocks in the river and jutting out from the shore. A small cluster of sticks and other vegetable matter washed up by the river have caught among three or four rocks in the foreground. The opposite bank rises steeply in a rocky slope. Near vertical rocky canyon walls are in the background. A rocky mountain rises in the distance.
