Scope/Content: Johnnie L. Cochran Sr., district manager of the Los Angeles-Eastside district office of Golden State Mutual Life Insurance Co., pauses for photographer while applying a coat of paint to the temporary quarters of the 60th Street Community Center, located at 5978 S. Wall Street. Cochran and other members of GSM's Eastside and Westside district offices volunteered their time and talent to help renovate a building for the East 60th Street Community Improvement Club that will temporarily serve as a playground center until a proposed quarter-million-dollar center is built.
