Description
Photograph of excavation machinery at work, ca.1930. To the right of center sits a large machine with claw-like scooping mechanisms attached to chains that make the machinery move. The machine appears to be digging dirt up from the ground and placing it into a neat pile through a conveyor belt in the back. The machine is stabilized by a triangular support that places a large mechanical foot on solid ground to the left. A small car with a man inside operate the machine from the side.
