Photograph article dated February 21, 1962 partially reads, "A grim desert search for missing baby sitter Donna Marie Frislie ended Tuesday at a shallow grave 22 miles east of Palmdale. The brutally murdered body of the 14-year-old girl was discovered at 1:40 p.m. by two amateur prospectors, John T. Ganaway, 28, 1617 East Ave. I, Lancaster, and Frank E. Diller, 73, 20538 East Ave. Q-K, Palmdale. Donna had been the object of a three-state search since her disappearance Feb. 13 from a Lancaster home where she was babysitting with three children." Inspector R. E. Hopkins kneels next to the shallow grave where Donna Marie was found. The spot marked with an 'X' is where a man's wristwatch band was found.; See image #00130821 for additional photo in this series.
