Description: "Black Jack" Jerome Ward, film cowboy who was exonerated 17 months earlier in the "Gower Gulch" slaying of Johnny Tyke when he proved self-defense, is shown in the hoosegow on December 3, 1941, after another shootin' iron episode. He assertedly pulled out a trusty pistol while grappling with another film cowboy, Henry Isabelle, in a Hollywood cocktail corral and was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Ward denies the gun is his.
