Peter and Connie begin the interview discussing why Peter called his cat Norton--named after Norton from the Honeymooners--and that the book is quite sad. For the majority of the interview, Connie and Peter talk about the lessons Peter learned from his cat regarding death, care-taking, love, grief, and the complicated nature of relationships. Peter and Connie end the interview discussing talking about how Peter learned how to be a better person because Norton helped him learn about the importance of love and the power of relationships.
