Photograph caption dated November 15, 1950 reads, "Alfonse's restaurant, 10057 Riverside Dr., Toluca Lake, is famous for its many outstanding dishes. One of the specialties of the eatery is prime ribs, here being prepared for serving by Chef Luigi Paini, a native of Milan. Fred Sorrentino, one of seven brothers who share ownership of Alfonse's, points to part of delicacy he wants himself."
