Photograph caption dated November 5, 1956 reads "The Rev. Scott Brewer, left, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Encino, welcomes Mr. and Mrs. Helmut Gretschel and their daughter, Ursula, 14, from West Germany. Mrs. Carol Crawford, right, is member of church committee which arranged sponsorship by church. Ursula will enroll in Birmingham High School and her father, former draftsman for U. S. Army in Germany, will look for similar work in Valley area."
