Description
Closeup view of oil pouring out of the ground in a blow out. Library records indicate: "General Petroleum Co. Barnard Well No. 5. Gas explosion which wrecked derrick. This well practically proved Ventura Ave. field, but it was several years until a method of gas control was affected - 1915."
