Photograph caption dated February 18, 1957 reads, "Lone Air National Guard fireman in foreground, garbed in asbestos suit, guides fire truck into position as foam cannon opens up on blazing F-84F at San Fernando Valley Airport. Guard firemen practice on this salvage plane every two weeks to keep in shape should a real jet crash in takeoff or landing."
