In 1903, he buried his wife at Kikuyu, and after six years faithful service, he was laid to rest beside her, in October 1907." Portrait of Rev. Dr. David Ruffelle Clement Scott [1853-1907] who was married to Edith Ruffelle until her death in 1903. Scott is credited with designing the church at Blantyre, the mission site he resided at before Kikuyu. ❧ "This Lecture was prepared by Dr J.W. Arthur in October 1911 on his voyage to Mombasa. The set of slides is the gift to the Kikuyu Mission of the Young Peoples Meeting at the Burgh Hall, Hillhead, of which he was for many years a member."
