In the foreground is a large group of picnickers, the majority of them sitting; the foremost couple are a man in profile with a large mustache and a hat and suit and behind him a woman, also in profile, with a hat festooned with flowers and wearing a white blouse; most of the other women wear straw hats; most men wear hats and suits.
"430 guests May 30 1899" -- handwritten on caption. Henry W. and Charles W. inherited ranch from Henry Willard in San Felipe Valley, adding Pine Ridge ranch later. Was cattle ranch.
