Description: The mall was originally built as Colorado Place in 1980 and remodeled as Santa Monica Place by architect, Frank Gehry in 1990. Santa Monica Place was rebuilt as a 548,322 square foot open air mall on the same site by retail property developer Macerich in 2010. Design by Jerde Architecture.
