Description
Photograph of a view of Hollywood looking southeast from the Roosevelt Hotel, 1929. The track, playing field and bleachers of what appears to be some school facility are partially visible to the extreme right of the photo while the bell tower of a church is visible to the left, deeply embedded in the business district of the city. In the extreme distance on the horizon, the tower of Los Angeles City Hall can be seen. Packed city blocks fill the rest of the frame.
