Photograph of the Indian wash place ("lavanderia") in front of Mission Santa Barbara, ca.1885. A wooden picket fence runs along the front of the mission which has a long row of arches supporting the tile roof over an exterior corridor at left and the church flanked with two square bell towers at right. Several trees are planted along the fence.
