Designed by Stanton and Stockwell, the Junipero Serra State Office Building opened in 1960 and was in use until 1998; it was demolished in 2006 and is the site of a new Federal Courts Building. The State of California replaced its offices with the Ronald Reagan State Building, located at 300 S. Spring Street. Photograph caption dated April 23, 1980 reads, "Enomoto supporters parade at the State Building here."
