Description: A derrick for Browning oil well #1 in Monterey Park, located on the southeast corner of Orange and Garvey Avenue. Owner of the well was L. H. Browning, doing business as Monterey Park Petroleum Corp. He also sold real estate, loans and insurance. A banner strung across the street announces the well. Stock was sold to the public.
