Balloting was heavy in Los Angeles on November 3, 1936, in both downtown and outlying precincts as voters rushed to record their choices in the important election. The photo shows voters lined up at the polling place in the Y.M.C.A. building, 715 South Hope Street. It was expected at least 1,117,200 citizens would vote in the county.
