Description
Photograph of people crowded at a portion of the levee which held back the Colorado River at the "Lower Heading," near Yuma, [s.d.]. Finely-dressed people stand along the set of tracks that lie at the top of the levee on the right while others crowd the small wooden structure towards center. They stand in a clear field which extends to the left with short, dark trees lining the back edge into the background. Dark, thin bushes lie across the front edge of the field where they hang over the shimmering river in the foreground on the left. The remains of the "Rockwood Gate" are in the water.
