Transcript: "For his good sportsmanship competing in athletics against St. Vincent's College in days gone by--and uncompromising American ideals down through the years--we welcome and salute our former rival Dean B. Cromwell in the spirit of friendship and Auld Lang Syne. Presented at reunion of former St. Vincent's students. Los Angeles, California, July 9, 1946."
