Photograph caption reads: "Paul Gonzales, seated, of Costa Mesa sees humor in strike as he talks with Jose Rodriguez of Anaheim". The United Transportation Union Local 19 broke off talks with Orange County Transit District and went on strike over cost-of-living increases and the request to be granted wage parity with RTD workers. The bus stop is on Katella Avenue. An advertisement for Viceroy cigarettes is behind Mr. Gonzales. Photograph dated: Feb. 5, 1981.
