Photograph caption dated June 24, 1960 reads, "Shows barrel liner - Claude Purbaugh, left, shows Valley trap shooter James Evans how insert barrel liner fits shotgun. Purbaugh invented method for reducing gauge of shotgun with aluminum tubes of smaller caliber. This method gives gun owner choice of other gauges."
