Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on July 6, 1977 states: "Come on it, the water's fine at Folsom Lake, if you drive or walk far enough. The U. S. Bureau of Reclamation- operated lake, one of the busiest man-made recreation bodies of water in the state, may have lost some of its appeal because of its low level. But the receding water still lures recreation seekers to venture far out into the spits of once-submerged land such as that at the base of the dam, left. Most boat ramps, like Folsom Lake Marina at Brown's Ravine at the right, are landlocked some distance from the water's edge."
